Hong Kong Airport

Hong Kong International Airport is transforming from a city airport to an airport city. With almost 75 million passengers annually flying to over 220 destinations, efficiency while maintaining a positive passenger experience is key. Hong Kong International Airport is a multi-modal transport centre, offering travellers extensive land and sea connections meaning passengers needed to be able to check-in for flights off the airport premises as well as in the airport terminal.

Solution

Elenium has provided over 140 fully portable self-service kiosks used by over 30 airlines to Hong Kong Airport Terminal 1.

The kiosks are common use and dynamically portable, meaning they can be easily moved around the terminal to different positions at different times. They have an easy to use self-service interface with a multilingual capability. Critically the kiosks are easy to maintain, designed for fast, in-position servicing, with long battery life and easy replacement. The kiosks can support rapid processing of a full range of passenger check-in interactions

Off-location Elenium check-in kiosks are also available at The Regal Airport Hotel, Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Zhuhai Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Hong Kong West Kowloon Station for ease of transit. This enables passengers to go to the Hong Kong International Airport or other places leisurely according to their own schedules without the hassle of carrying their luggage.

Hong Kong Airport has achieved a passenger satisfaction score of 4.86 out of 5 and a low level of passenger complaints, despite the record-breaking number of passengers and the pressure of approaching full capacity of HKIA.
